Skovbogaard - EU Stallion

Welcome at the homepage for Skovbogaard. EU Stallionstation for Icelandic horses. We offer every aspect in breeding Icelandic horses including a full service EU Stallionstation with World class stallions.
We have topstallions at the farm - read more under stallions - and breed approx. 6 foals every year out from our own 1. class breeding mares. We export to all over the world.

AI - TAI station for mares

On Skovbogaard, we offer 4 different covering method:

1. Natural service - cover by hand, where the mares is covered naturally with the stallion at Skovbogaard

2. Insemination / fresh semen - the mares are inseminatet with fresh semen on Skovbogaard 

3. Insemination / cooled semen - artificial insemination of the mares with cooled from other stallions at Skovbogaard 

4. Insemination / frozen/cooled semen - artificial insemination of the mares with frozen/cooled semen exported to all over the world

On Skovbogaard, we have a total of approx. 20 ha. grassland with large pens, here goes mares in small flocks with free access to pasture, water, minerals and sun.

When you sent your mare to us, your mare will get a J.nr., from 2010, you can through own login to our website follow the daily care of your horse and see when it is covered, scanned, pregnant etc.
