Welcome at the homepage for Skovbogaard. EU Stallionstation for Icelandic horses. We offer every aspect in breeding Icelandic horses including a full service EU Stallionstation with World class stallions.
We have topstallions at the farm - read more under stallions - and breed approx. 6 foals every year out from our own 1. class breeding mares. We export to all over the world.

Hnokki fra Fellskoti

Hnokki during one of his well-earned breaks on Skovbogaard. He is in top form - to jump on fantom every other day is much less demanding than going with many mares and cover natually.

We have until now scanned more than 40 mares pregnant with Hnokki this year and many more are to come.A truly great result. So far we have not sent a single mare back empty - some we inseminated two times, but the vast majority have come pregnant in the first heat.

We also get really good response from the Vets who receive cooled semen from us, quality is in top and the results shows that.

We will publish all results of all stallions after the season here on the website.

We have gathered a little of all the new Hnokki-foal from 2010 in a small cavalcade.

There are almost new foals into the world every day right now and really many European breeders have a lot to look forward to next year when it is their turn. Look at the pictures and see a collection of improbable handsome foal which according to the owners has a lot of natural tølt in it and many already show a great passport of the field.

Også Örn fra Efrigegnishölum får tophopper igen i år. Senest er den gudesmukke VM hoppe Gerpla fra Blesastödum IS2003287803 insemineret med Örn.

Gerpla deltog i VM 2009 for island i 6-års avlen og fik en flot andenplads med hendes imponerende kåring på 8.42 total med et Blup på 120.

The Dutch WM mare, Mist van de Waaldijk is to be inseminated with Hnokki fra Fellskoti this season. Mist is showed with 8.31 total, a 9.5 for Tölt and 9 for form, spirit and slow Tölt. She has participated in WM 3 times for Holland with very good results.

Mist is owned by Robert Verzuu and will be inseminated on the Dutch stallion station Dalhoeve (www.dalhoeve.nl)

Gellir fra Arbakka er udtaget til det Islandske NM landshold 2010. Det er anden gang at Gellir bliver udtaget til det islandske landshold.

Denne gang skal han rides af en ungrytter, Bergrún Ingólfsdóttir. Equipagen skal deltage i 4.1 og T1.

Næste hold af hopper er nu sendt hjem, drægtige og insemineret med Hnokki.

Heriblandt hoppen Gòta fra Lækjarbotnum kåret med 8.02, ejet af Christina Husum i Møldrup.

Sædkvaliteten er virkelig god på Hnokki med mængder på mere end 4 mia. pr. spring og en motilitet på over 90%.

Det gør naturligvis at det er langt nemmere at skabe gode resultater både med inseminering med frisksæd og kølesæd.
